Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and a quarter Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father is an Argentine with Scottish and English ancestral roots. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy has the eldest of five kids, and four of them come of her father's previous marriage. They lived together at home in Buenos Aires from the time she was 6 years old until the time they moved to Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatic and she did not learn English to stay out of the risk of returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her school of choice after she transferred from Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she was a dancer and also performed in shows. She left at the age of 16 to go to the school to make a career out of acting. Taylor-Joy was a child actress and was sure she would eventually become an actor. It was her wish to be a model after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a position as a model.
