Kelly Clarkson was an American performer/songwriter, who became America's Sweetheart after she was crowned American Idol in the inaugural series of the series. It was this win that not only made her an international star, but resulted in a deal with a number of albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings as along with 'S Recordings. Her subsequent releases include a variety of studio albums. A trio of her albums topped the US Billboard 200 chart, while others narrowly missed it. She's one of the biggest artist to emerge from American Idol. She started to explore themes and music when her popularity grew. She earned critical acclaim and several prestigious awards for her distinct voice and talent. She's been honored with the Grammy Award 3 times. Alongside her career in music, she has appeared in films and television shows. She also wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved in several charities.
