Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss and her mother is English. She was born and raised in a council estate located south of London. At the age fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received the BA in acting. At school, she was a part-time actor in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career through the film Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had appearances as a guest in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she appeared in Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie in the six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She also appeared on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on her thriller The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes prior to being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, it was announced in May 2013 that she would depart the series following her appearance on the premiere episode of the third season. Between 2014 and the year 2016, she appeared on Salem as Tituba. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg on June 2012. They have worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he was also on the show with Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, hails from an extensive Hamilton family. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty and four older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's family, which is all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey in the winter months. Ashley did not walk; instead, she was a dancer.
